describe the imageLast fall, parsonskellogg celebrated what we hope will become an annual tradition when we joined with colleagues, clients, friends and partners for theĀ Matt Cariglio Memorial Golf Tournament. What made the event so special is that it honored the life of parsonsKellogg employee and dear friend Matt.Matt’s story is a bittersweet one – bitter because his life ended far too early, and sweet because during the time he had, he built a loving marriage and a beautiful family. You can read more about Matt and his family here.

Recently, things have come full circle and Matt’s son Nick is now working part time over the summer in our warehouse here at parsonsKellogg. Seeing him around the office is like looking at a younger version of his dad, and it has brought back wonderful memories for those of us who knew and loved Matt. Nick is also enjoying his time here and has even asked to take on more hours!

Nick isn’t the only member of the Cariglio family who is doing well:

  • Ella recently graduated from middle school and will be attending La Salle Academy next year. She recently made the soccer cheerleading squad and is playing travel softball.
  • Nick graduated from elementary school and is moving onto middle school. He is on the all-star little league team and playing summer hockey.
  • Kim is learning to play hockey with some of the other hockey moms.
  • Matt Jr. is still living with Kim and the kids. He is taking classes at CCRI and working for a valet company.

It’s been great seeing this tight knit family recover from the tragedy of Matt’s passing and a big relief that Kim’s health scare is now over and everyone is healthy.

Those of you who knew Matt (and many of you who didn’t) will enjoy these photos of Nick taken recently at our facility in Rhode Island:
